Registered Nurse (RN) – OR Circulator

Work location: Texas Health Allen, 1105 Central Expwy North, TX 75013

Work hours: Part Time – 20 Hours/week;
Weekends, Saturday and Sunday – 10 hour shifts

• Fast-Paced, high-volume department
• The professional nurse exhibits an understanding of basic human needs.
• The professional nurse demonstrates recognition and understanding of the patient’s affiliations.

• Associate degree in Nursing required or Nursing Diploma
• BSN (Preferred)
• 1 Year Experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program (Required)
• 1 year of experience as a registered nurse in the Operating Room (Strongly Preferred)
• CNOR Certification (Preferred)
  RN
  - Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required upon hire)
• BCLS
  - Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required upon hire)

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• OR RN Surgery Circulator duties and skills
• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
