Work hours:
Full Time, 36 Hours, 7:00pm – 7:00am Mom/Baby Department highlights:
· Level II Maternal Designation with Level II NICU
· Certified Nurse Midwife Hospitalist Based Model
· 8 LDRPs, 5 Antepartum Rooms, 2 Operating Rooms
· 40 – 45 deliveries per month

Here's What You Need
· Diploma in Nursing or
· Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required
· BSN preferred
· One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
· One year of Labor & Delivery experience strongly preferred
· RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator, and coordinator for quality patient care
· BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent care and maintained quarterly required and
· CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention training within 90 days and maintained annually required and
· NRP – Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program required within 90 days and
· ACLS – Advance Cardiac Life Support within 90 days required and
· NRPA – Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days required What You Will Do Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
· Assesses the patient
· Plans the care of the patient
· Intervenes as appropriate
· Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
· Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
· Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
· Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers. Additional perks of being a Texas Health Nurse
