GI Interventional Tech

Methodist Health System is seeking a GI Interventional Tech for our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will support interventional gastroenterology procedures including ERCP, EUS, and advanced endoscopic therapies. Responsibilities include patient preparation, assisting physicians during procedures, operating and troubleshooting fluoroscopy and endoscopy equipment, monitoring patient status, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting infection control and safety standards. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, compassionate environment that values integrity, quality, and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and procedure rooms for GI interventional and advanced endoscopic procedures
• Assist physicians during ERCP, EUS, and therapeutic endoscopy procedures
• Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot fluoroscopy and endoscopy imaging equipment
• Monitor patient status, comfort, and safety before, during, and after procedures
• Adhere to radiation safety, infection prevention, and sterile technique standards
• Document procedures, supplies used, and patient information accurately in the EMRCoordinate with nursing, anesthesia, and physicians to optimize workflow and patient throughput
• Manage and maintain endoscopic instruments and reprocessing workflows
• Support on-call or flexible hours for urgent and emergent procedures as needed
• Participate in quality improvement and staff education initiatives within the GI lab
