Job Overview
Quality Technician 2 – Allen, TX.
As the Quality Technician 2, you will lead quality assurance in the factory production environment by identifying improvement opportunities, preparing inspection plans, conducting first‑article sample tests, training operators, performing manufacturing process audits, and serving as the primary quality contact for production. You will also work closely with Quality Engineers, Supplier Quality Engineers, and the Production team to maintain quality output.
Responsibilities- Prepare inspection plans and procedures/instructions and communicate them to ensure implementation.
- Identify best practices and improvement opportunities.
- Record inspection results and ensure accurate calibration of measurement equipment.
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to support continuous improvement.
- Conduct material and work inspections and report findings.
- Communicate inspection and audit results to relevant stakeholders.
- Perform sample tests and process audits, ensuring correct measurement system implementation.
- Create reports regarding quality measurements and inspections.
- Perform inspections on incoming material and communicate results to suppliers and product owners.
- Perform daily production audits and document findings.
- Manage third‑party tool calibration processes.
- Perform tests on Return‑Material‑Authorization (RMA) products.
- Reconcile warranty claims and identify improvement opportunities.
- Perform root cause analysis and propose corrective actions.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in quality or testing.
- High school diploma or relevant testing/quality certifications (engineering background preferred).
- Working knowledge of Lean and quality tools, methods, and systems.
- Knowledge of 5S principles.
- Understanding of measurement and test equipment calibration standards and how to assess tool accuracy and precision.

The hiring range for this role is $54,800 – $71,925. Compensation will depend on each candidate’s qualifications, experience, certifications, and location.
Variable compensation: KONE Operations Supply Line Bonus plan of $250 per quarter based on achievement of company and individual goals.
