About the Position

Sol-Ark is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Manager to oversee and enhance our quality management systems within a production and assembly environment. Reporting directly to the VP of Product Supply, the successful candidate will support departmental KPI goals, Quality Objectives and will ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 9001 and UL. The role includes overseeing all aspects of quality management, including process audits, driving continuous improvement, supplier interactions, and team management.

The Quality Manager will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of quality excellence across all operational areas to ensure Sol-Ark products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality systems aligned with ISO 9001 and the organization's overall quality objectives.
  • Conduct internal audits and lead preparation for compliance with product standards, external certification or customer audits.
  • Create, implement, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and keep quality records current and accurate.
  • Maintain documentation for all quality processes, audits, deviations, and corrective actions in accordance with industry standards and internal policies.
  • Conduct data driven analysis and reporting to monitor key quality metrics, performance tracking, trend identification, and process enhancement recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Track and evaluate the reliability and quality of incoming parts and raw materials from vendors.
  • Lead root cause analyses (RCA) and enforce Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) when non-conforming materials are received.
  • Manage QA/QC activities across manufacturing operations to ensure products meet specified standards and customer expectations.
  • Implement effective quality control measures, including testing protocols, inspection procedures, and validation processes, to ensure product quality and reliability.
  • Work closely with R&D teams, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure quality considerations are integrated into product development plans and project timelines.
  • Conduct advanced quality planning, reviews and audits for NPI projects, ensuring compliance with quality standards and product launch objectives.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and quality assurance teams to facilitate seamless transition from R&D to commercial production.
Required

Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management or a related field. A relevant professional certification (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ) is a plus.
  • Proven experience in quality assurance, process improvement, and product development within a manufacturing environment.
  • Deep familiarity with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001), Lean Six Sigma methodologies, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Experience in leading continuous improvement initiatives using data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct data-driven root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and a passion for delivering high-quality products.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Leadership experience, including building and leading high-performing teams.
