SummaryThe Sales Associate’s primary function is to sell and promote Original Penguin (OPG) merchandise while executing customer service standards. Duties include greeting customers, helping them locate products or demonstrate usage, and processing purchases on the POS register.
Responsibilities- Interacts with customers in a courteous, friendly manner (e.g., maintains eye contact, smiles).
- Generates maximum sales potential in accordance with OPG customer service standards.
- Builds repeat customer base through excellent PE Loyalty Program data capture.
- Maintains strong knowledge regarding product, promotions, and special events to communicate effectively to customers.
- Consistently fosters a positive store experience by treating all customers and staff members fairly and consistently.
- Effectively maintains floor coverage; acknowledges every customer; treats customers with priority over assigned tasks.
- Maintains productivity throughout the entire shift (e.g., uses idle time to replenish products, maintain visual displays, engage with customers).
- Consistently reports to work on time.
- Demonstrates flexibility with schedule.
- Understands individual and store sales goals.
- Follows all operational policies and procedures.
- Follows guidance from management to execute visual standards, recovery, and replenishment.
- Energetic and positive attitude.
- Retail experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
