Summary

The individuals who perform this job provide extraordinary shopping experiences to our in-store and online guests and exceptional service at pickup.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Know and actively demonstrate the Company Mission Statement and Core Values daily.
  • Maintain uniform standards as per the Employee Manual.
  • Greet guests with a smiling face and helpful demeanor.
  • Print, fulfill, and finalize online/e-commerce orders following platform procedures.
  • Use computer, phone, or scanner to verify product availability and complete orders.
  • Verify correct barcode to ensure proper product/pricing.
  • Ensure accurate products reach guests or delivery drivers; do not remove unaccounted products.
  • Check acceptable identification for legal sales and remain professional.
  • Send verification emails for suspicious orders.
  • Issue receipts/invoices.
  • Ensure all orders for the day are finalized or pending pickup; send notifications for outstanding orders.
  • Bag or box merchandise appropriately; use business‑mindful bags and protectors.
  • Keep work area clean, neat, and stocked.
  • Properly use and maintain computers, copiers, and scanners.
  • Assist carry‑outs and load orders into vehicles.
  • Restock shelves, front product, and check for out‑of‑date items.
  • Stock beer cooler, wine cooler, coke box, freezer, and/or deli case.
  • Remove cases/boxes from sales floor (except organized displays).
  • Break down store‑use boxes and dispose of them.
  • Organize re‑packing boxes in stacks and maintain the area regularly.
  • Clean up broken items; mop floors and place “Wet Floor” signs when needed.
  • Sweep and mop floor.
  • Keep parking lot free of refuse and gather shopping carts.
  • Operate cash register as needed.
  • Suggestively sell add‑on items to in‑store guests.
  • Carry‑out or dolly‑out merchandise at guest request; tips may be accepted but not requested.
  • Answer questions and provide information to guests.
  • Resolve guest complaints courteously.
  • Avoid conversations with coworkers when guests are present.
  • Avoid use of personal cell phone on the sales floor.
  • Prepare areas for inventory and assist in the inventory process.
  • Carry out management directives efficiently.
  • Practice teamwork and cooperation.
  • Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Manage stress in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Stand, lift, carry, walk, and bend constantly; lift up to 50 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
  • Take safety and OSHA regulations into account.
  • Complete other projects as assigned.
  • Clean restroom as required.
  • Maintain attendance and timeliness.
Hours
  • Full‑time: typically 35+ hours per week, available for any shift on Friday or Saturday, and 80% or more of all shifts each week.
  • Part‑time: up to 25 hours per week.
Qualifications
  • Minimum age 21; must maintain a valid TABC Beverage Seller’s Permit and, if applicable, a Food Handler’s Permit.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred; e‑commerce experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions or memos; communicate with coworkers and guests.
  • Bilingual skills a plus.
  • Mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide, calculate discounts and percentages.
  • Strong customer service demeanor: smiley, friendly, helpful, patient, outgoing, self‑starter, strong work ethic.
  • Physical stamina: ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally; push or pull 50–100 lbs regularly.
  • Problem‑solving: apply common sense to carry out written or oral instructions.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
Physical Demands

As described in the Essential Duties section; includes frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting and moving up to 100 lbs, and some climbing or balancing.

Work Environment

Positive environment serving guests; moderate noise level; occasional exposure to outside weather conditions during deliveries.
