Summary
Under the direction of the Regional Director, this role supervises a store’s operations, including inventory management, revenue generation, loss prevention, staffing, customer service, and compliance with safety and security standards.
Essential Functions / Duties
Generate revenue and control the store’s expense budget, including payroll, staying within defined guidelines.Transport cash funds to and from the bank.Supervise receipt of inventory, stock rotations, color rotations, scheduled markdowns, and stock transfers per organizational procedures.Promote merchandise sales and create in‑store displays.Monitor store premises and ensure facilities and grounds are clean, neat, and safe.Open and close the store as needed.Handle employee and customer inquiries professionally.Deal with potential disturbances, calming loud customers, evicting disorderly customers, or handling lost children.Supervise, plan, and maintain store personnel organization; prepare work schedules and arrange replacements for absent employees.Evaluate employee performance, take appropriate disciplinary action, and make termination recommendations.Ensure staff compliance with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Public Protection procedures.Instill proper safety and security attitudes in employees and trainees, protecting customers and ensuring all operations follow safety and security programs.Demonstrate good customer service skills.Communicate effectively with other departments to collaborate on store operations.Maintain a well‑groomed appearance and adhere to the business dress code, including name badge.Additional Functions / Duties
Assist other stores as directed by the Regional Director.Handle store receipts according to procedures and good security practices.Assist in loss prevention investigations when necessary, keeping information confidential.Complete reports on schedules, meetings, safety, payroll, and store records.Respond calmly to emergencies and react to alarm calls as necessary. Must be accessible via telephone.Coordinate and conduct monthly safety drills or serve as Safety Captain.Complete monthly maintenance inspection checklists.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications / Competencies

High school education or equivalent is required. College education or five (5) years of retail management experience is preferred. Previous retail or handling experience is also preferred, especially experience working with people who have disabilities or previous Goodwill experience.
Math Ability
Level 3:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.
Computer Skills
Beginner knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and experience with a POS system.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position supervises subordinate supervisors.
