As an Inside Sales Representative (ISR), you will be an important part of our sales and customer support team. Your role will include generating sales, building, and maintaining customer relationships. While providing service to customers and our Outside Sales team, and coordinating departments within Shepherd Controls and FCG sister brands.
Responsibilities- Generate sales by proactively contacting customers, upselling, following up on quotes and orders, responding to inquiries, and providing solutions
- Build customer relationships by timely following up on inquiries, periodically contacting customers to provide services and support, and by asking how we can help all in a professional manner
- Being a team player by supporting others when out, having collaborative discussions, and helping with technical support and ideas
- To have or gain knowledge on all product lines and areas of support by participating in product training, portal training, research, and keeping up to date with new products, specials, and incentive programs
- To prepare and process quotes. To understand, track, and provide feedback on wins/losses of quotes
- To prepare and process orders. To follow up on order status, delivery dates, order changes, and customer satisfaction.
- To prepare and follow up on RMAs
- To provide customers with invoices upon request
- Follow up on quotes, orders, expediting, and RMAs of any team member when required
- Collaborate with vendors and represent the company with professionalism
- Actively participate in company meetings and training courses
- Create, Follow-up, and Modify Leads
- Properly record all relevant information into P21, Salesforce, and quote tool.
- Diligently work to meet individual, team, and company bookings, margins, and revenue goals. Also, to actively participate in incentive programs and product line promotions.
- Use all required tools, such as but not limited to Salesforce, P21, Quote tool, and Cross Sales tool
- To work with other departments within the company for assistance with customer service needs (billing, tracking, engineering, etc.)
- Adhere to processes and polices of the team and company
- Work with outside sales to provide customer support and service
- Be adaptable to new responsibilities assigned by management
- Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written
- Understanding of the importance of following through with work
- Able to be a team member and willing to help others
- Inside sales and/or customer support experience
- Able to multitask, keep organized, and work with several platforms
- Ability to quickly learn product information
- Salesforce experience preferred
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
- Experience and record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
