Location:
This position will be onsite at our corporate offices in Allen, Texas (Dallas-Fort Worth area).
Full-time W-2 ONSITE opportunity (not remote)!
Work Eligibility:- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer-sponsored visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- Candidates must have permanent work authorization in the United States. Sol-Ark does not provide visa sponsorship, including but not limited to F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT (including STEM OPT), H-1B, or any other employment-based visa requiring future sponsorship.
Under general supervision, the Repair Technician is responsible for analyzing, repairing, and documenting product RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) cases. This position focuses on board-level and modular repairs without component soldering, emphasizing replacement, assembly rework, connector validation, and firmware updates.
Responsibilities:- Repair & Maintenance: Perform board replacements, connector checks, wiring harness repairs, and assembly rework on electronic and low-voltage electrical systems.
- Testing & Troubleshooting: Conduct standard electrical testing on replaced assemblies to verify function and performance.
- Inventory Management: Maintain an organized workbench and ensure accurate logging of part usage and replacements.
- Reporting: Document repair results, part replacements, and corrective actions in repair logs or system databases.
- User Support: Provide feedback to the Diagnostic and Testing teams to improve repair accuracy and turnaround time.
- Quality Control: Follow established repair procedures and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Additional Duties: Perform related tasks as assigned.
- Equivalent to a high school diploma.
- Two (2) years of experience in electronic or low-voltage electrical repair or related technical work.
- Familiarity with low-voltage electrical systems and common electronic assemblies.
- Use of test equipment for continuity, voltage, and functionality verification.
- Understanding of basic DC circuits and power system principles.
- Knowledge of OSHA and workplace safety practices.
- Follow standardized repair and reassembly procedures accurately.
- Document repairs clearly and completely in electronic systems.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Ability to kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, and lift.
- Capacity to lift, push, or pull up to eighty (80) pounds.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Technical coursework or certification in electrical or electronic systems.
