Backend Developer, Cloud Engineer - Software, DevOps, Golang
A successful candidate for this position should possess a solid understanding of idiomatic Go, prioritizing simplicity and performance through built‑in constructs for concurrency and efficiency. They will be a production‑focused engineer who understands the entire software lifecycle beyond writing code, including crafting containers, building and understanding Kubernetes deployments, and treating observability as a core requirement through integration of tracing, metrics, structured logging, and alerts.
They can bring immediate value by bridging technical depth with an operational mindset, understanding how each service is functional, scalable, maintainable, and observable.
- Building, testing, deploying, maintaining, and scaling backend services in a microservices architecture using Go in an agile development environment on a major cloud platform.
- Working collaboratively to identify needs, prioritize and plan work, and develop solutions that keep pace with product development.
- Gaining a deep and comprehensive understanding of specific banking‑related domains the team owns and working with changes in those domains to impact products.
- Participating with customer support teams to resolve or diagnose defects and issues.
- Continually growing your technical skill set.
- Performing other job duties as assigned.
- Minimum 6 years of programming experience, with at least 2 years of back‑end programming/development experience and 2 years of Go/Golang experience.
- Capable of leading technical efforts of larger products, including planning and communication, breaking work into smaller units, and tracking work across the team.
- Ability to apply knowledge of observability, scale, and performance in software development; experience debugging issues in production, identifying customer issues, and resolving problems with a release pipeline or deployment.
- Experience with microservices architecture, continuous integration pipelines, observability, monitoring, Postgres, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
- Self‑motivation and the ability to work independently.
- Sense of ownership of deliverables from scope definition to production support; a commitment to high‑quality software.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science is desired but not required.
- Experience in Financial Technology (Fin Tech), specifically with ACH, Wire Transfers, and Positive Pay, is a plus.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.
