Shipping and Receiving Assistant

Overview

Acara Solutions is seeking a reliable and organized Mailroom Attendant to support day-to-day operations in Allen/Dallas, TX.

Qualified candidates will be involved with the daily receipt, sorting, and distribution of mail, as well as shipping and receiving of packages and freight. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, efficient, and capable of working in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

• Receive, inspect, and document incoming mail, packages, and freight
• Sort and distribute internal and external mail to appropriate departments
• Prepare and process outgoing shipments using carrier systems (Fed Ex, UPS, USPS, etc.)
• Maintain accurate shipping/receiving logs and tracking records
• Handle time-sensitive or confidential materials with discretion and urgency
• Coordinate with delivery drivers, couriers, and internal staff regarding deliveries
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure mailroom environment
• Assist with inventory management and supply restocking
• Operate mailroom equipment such as postage machines, scanners, and printers
• Support other facilities-related tasks as needed

• Contract: Temp-Hire
• Pay rate: $18.00 - $19.00 /hr.
• Shift: 1st shift 9am-5:30 or 6pm
• Days: Monday-Friday

• Required Skills / Qualifications:
• Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ year experience in a mailroom, shipping/receiving, or logistics role preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with shipping software a plus
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks throughout the day
