Salary Range: $59,000 - $91,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Allendale region seeking Estimators. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates-not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyzes blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services.
• Collaborates with sales, engineering, and production teams to gather necessary information for accurate bid preparation.
• Solicits and reviews quotes from suppliers and subcontractors for materials and services required for projects.
• Develops detailed cost breakdowns for labor, materials, equipment, and overhead for various manufacturing processes.
• Identifies and quantifies cost factors such as production time, raw material, and labor expenses.
• Presents comprehensive estimates and proposals to clients and internal stakeholders, articulating the scope and assumptions.
• Maintains accurate records of estimates, bids, and project costs for future reference and analysis.
• Participates in post-bid reviews to determine accuracy of estimates and refine future estimating processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in cost estimating within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and labor costs.
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., ERP systems, specialized estimating tools) and Microsoft Excel.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor) for data extraction and analysis.
• Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
• Proficiency in a second language, particularly Spanish or Mandarin.
• Project management experience or certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM).
• Familiarity with advanced manufacturing technologies (e.g., additive manufacturing, automation).
