Salary Range: $55,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Allendale region seeking Quoting Specialists. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates-not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze customer requests, blueprints, and specifications to develop accurate and competitive quotes.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales, and production teams to gather necessary information for quoting.
• Utilize ERP systems and quoting software to process requests and generate proposals.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with customers, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate records of all quotes, including revisions and customer communications.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose alternative solutions to optimize quote competitiveness.
• Stay informed about market trends, competitor pricing, and material costs to ensure up-to-date quoting strategies.

Recommended Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in a quoting or estimating role within manufacturing.
• Proven ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong mathematical aptitude and proficiency in calculating costs, margins, and lead times.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for interacting with sales, engineering, and customers.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Net Suite) for order processing and data management.
• Proficiency in using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Hub Spot) to track customer interactions and manage sales pipelines.
• Familiarity with product configurators or CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) software.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and terminology.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or blueprints.
