Job Description
The Accounts Payable Specialist processes a high volume of invoices each day, ensures accurate three-way matching with purchase orders, and supports month-end close activities. This role works closely with vendors, maintains accurate vendor records, and utilizes large ERP systems and Excel to keep accounts payable operations accurate, timely, and well-organized. The position is open to experienced professionals as well as recent accounting graduates who meet the core requirements.
Responsibilities
+ Process approximately 50-100 invoices per day with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
+ Perform three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents to ensure proper authorization and accuracy.
+ Maintain and update vendor records, including setting up new vendors, updating existing information, and ensuring data integrity.
+ Prepare, schedule, and cut checks or process electronic payments in accordance with established payment terms and company policies.
+ Collaborate closely with vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies, payment questions, and account issues in a timely and professional manner.
+ Work within large ERP systems to enter, track, and reconcile accounts payable transactions.
+ Use Excel spreadsheets to organize, track, and analyze accounts payable data and support reporting needs.
+ Assist with month-end close responsibilities, including reconciliations, accruals, and preparation of supporting documentation.
+ Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and standard accounting practices throughout all accounts payable activities.
+ Support continuous improvement of accounts payable processes by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting enhancements.
Essential Skills
+ 5+ years of experience processing over 50 invoices per day in an accounts payable environment.
+ 5+ years of experience performing three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents.
+ 5+ years of vendor maintenance experience, including setting up and updating vendor records.
+ Proficiency working within spreadsheets in Excel for data entry, tracking, and basic analysis.
+ Experience using a large ERP system such as SAP, Oracle, Epicor, SAGE, Infor, or Net Suite for accounts payable functions.
+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy when processing high-volume transactions.
+ Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
+ Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal stakeholders.
+ Openness to candidates who are recent accounting graduates, provided they meet the core functional requirements.

Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience using advanced Excel functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
+ Hands-on experience with Epicor ERP specifically.
+ Background or education in accounting or a related field.
+ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining accuracy.
+ Strong problem-solving skills for resolving invoice and vendor issues.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Allentown, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
