St. Luke's - - Responsibilities:
Answers the telephone in a timely manner and directs callers to the appropriate person or department.;
Receives and updates patient information; maintains files and registers patients in the computer system.;
Verifies patients' insurance benefits and processes pre-certifications/authorizations.;
Schedules appointments and maintains a full department schedule; communicates scheduling problems to the Department Manager.;
Processes payments and prepares receipts; handles mail distribution and release of information requests.
