THE POSITION

The Public Utility Commission (PUC) is seeking a Clerical Supervisor to lead our Records Retention Section in the Secretary's Bureau, ensuring information is properly maintained, accessible, secure, and preserved.

This position guides daily work in the Records Retention Section by supervising staff and managing the flow of records across the agency. The role ensures that record handling follows all schedules, rules, and procedures set by the Commission. As a Clerical Supervisor 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Staff Supervision: Oversee Records Retention staff and direct daily workflow
- File Management: Administer file purging and ensure all actions follow established retention schedules
- System Oversight: Implement record systems and maintain adherence to all Commission requirements
- Access Authorization: Approve personnel access to records and coordinate transfers to the State Records Center or Archives
- Information Liaison: Share updates between PHMC and the Commission and participate in related meetings and training
- Digitizing Coordination: Supervise staff engaged in the digitizing project converting microfilmed records to digital scans and authorize records to be placed online at the Commission's website for public review
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: Part-time work telework is a potential feature of this position. Successful candidates are required to report to the headquarters worksite daily, unless the employee meets eligibility requirements and telework has been approved. To be eligible to participate in telework, the employee's alternate (telework) worksite must meet the following requirements: worksite must be located within a reasonable travel distance of Harrisburg and within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Clerical Supervisor 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);
or - One year as a Clerical Assistant 3 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);
or - Two years as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);
or - An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
