DESCRIPTION OF WORKThis position provides clerical support that ensures driver information products are processed and delivered with accuracy and care. The role supports public needs and contributes to dependable operations within the Bureau of Driver Licensing. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Application Review:
Examine applications and payments to determine if requests can be processed - Accuracy Standards:
Maintain a minimum accuracy rate of 98 percent while following established procedures - Data Processing:
Use computer systems to enter information, prepare documents, and complete driver record tasks - Record Delivery:
Verify completed products and send them to customers - Attestation Preparation:
Complete and type attestations with correct information - Seal Application:
Apply the Department seal to certified work - Daily Reporting:
Prepare daily production sheets and record required information - Revenue Handling:
Prepare deposit materials and transmit revenue information - Equipment Care:
Maintain printers and WID machines to keep them in working condition - Customer Communication:
Communicate with customers in a courteous manner - Instruction Follow-Through:
Follow both written and verbal instructions accurately
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday-Friday, with a 1-hour lunch.

You will not have the option to telework in this position. - Salary:
Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,831.00 (before taxes). - You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. - Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) ; or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
