Roberto Clemente Charter School (RCCS) is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Spanish Teacher to provide continuity of instruction during an approved FMLA leave beginning mid-March through the end of the  school year.

Position Overview

The Long-Term Substitute Teacher assumes full instructional responsibilities for the duration of the assignment and ensures alignment with RCCS curriculum standards, instructional expectations, and student achievement goals.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver high-quality, engaging instruction aligned with established curriculum and lesson plans

* Maintain a structured, safe, and inclusive classroom environment

* Implement effective classroom management strategies

* Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records (attendance, grades, assessments)

* Collaborate with grade-level teams, instructional leaders, and administration

* Uphold RCCS policies, procedures, and professional standards

* Support the school's mission of academic excellence and cultural pride

Minimum Qualifications

Certification

* Valid Pennsylvania Instructional Certification OR

* Eligibility for an Emergency Permit through the Pennsylvania Department of Education (Spanish)

Education

* Bachelor's Degree required

Professional Skills

* Strong classroom management

* Clear and professional communication

* Organizational effectiveness

* Ability to sustain instructional continuity

Schedule

* Full-time

* Monday - Friday

* 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Required Clearances & Compliance

All candidates must possess clear background checks in accordance with Pennsylvania law and RCCS policy, including:

* PA Criminal History Clearance (Act 34)

* Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151)

* FBI Fingerprint-Based Federal Criminal History (Act 114)

Existing clearances must be dated no more than one (1) year prior to the start of employment.

A TB screening (PPD or equivalent) is required and must be dated no more than three (3) months prior to start date.

Employment is strictly contingent upon receipt, verification, and approval of all required documentation.
