Position Title: Assistant Electrical Coordinator

Location: Bailey Mine

Assists the Electrical Coordinator with managing, planning, and scheduling electrical maintenance, installations, and projects to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient power distribution, equipment operation, and ventilation systems.

• Must adhere to CORE Natural Resources first principles including Safety, Sustainability, and Continuous Improvement.
• Identifies target objectives, develops plans to achieve the objectives and monitors plans and results.
• Schedules electrical work, maintenance shutdowns, and project delivery while aligning with production goals.
• Troubleshoots complex electrical issues on fixed plants, ventilation, conveyors, and mobile mining equipment.
• Works with the Shift Supervisor and first-line Supervisor to ensure that all safety, maintenance and cost objectives are met or exceeded for mine maintenance operations and knows that status of these numbers daily
• Communicates maintenance schedules, mine plans, changes and company policies and procedures to supervisors & employees.
• Leads and encourages continuous improvement projects.
• Communicates to the Maintenance Manager any potential opportunities, which would improve the operation and any problems that would impact the running of a productive and safe operation.
• Works with outside vendors, contractors, and the Warehouse Supervisor to ensure the availability of required supplies, services and equipment to meet production objectives.
• Works with the Safety Department and General Maintenance Foreman regarding all safety related activities, including: the effectiveness of health and safety programs and compliance with all applicable health and safety laws, regulations, and policies.
• Ensure all installations, repairs, and equipment comply with mining safety standards, electrical codes, and regulations.
• Audits safety programs, inspects operations, and reviews accident investigations to reduce and prevent any potential accident situation.
• May perform the duties of Electrical Coordinator or Assistant Maintenance Manager.
• Requires PA Black Hat or equivalent certification
• Requires 4 or more years of experience in mine operations and electrical maintenance; or undergraduate degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or a related field and a minimum of 2 years of experience in mine operations and electrical/mechanical maintenance.
• Requires thorough knowledge of coal mining operations, including safety, compliance, production, maintenance, economics, equipment usage and staff utilization.
• Requires strong understanding of high-voltage systems, PLCs, power distribution, and underground mining equipment.
• Requires deep understanding of mining-specific electrical laws and safety protocols.
• Must be able to lead teams, manage contractors, and foster a safe working environment.
• Must have MSHA Federal Electrical Card or equivalent certification
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite (i.e., Word, Outlook, Excel etc.)
• Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as schedule requires
• Must be able to work other shifts as needed
• Must be a detailed oriented person and be able to communicate clearly and effectively
• This position is defined by the Dictionary of Occupational Titles as a heavy job category and must be able to lift, carry, pull/push, climb, shovel, walk, pry, work on/near moving equipment and perform any job specific activity as required by job assignment

• Oracle system experience
• PA Mine Foreman, Assistant Mine Foreman, or Fireboss certification
• Knowledge of Rockwell Automation Family PLC Controls
