ntm engineering is hiring an environmental scientist/planner iii with over five years of experience to join our team in wayne and dillsburg offices. This is a full-time position involving both field and office work.
key responsibilities include preparing all levels of nepa documents, leading wetland delineations, threatened and endangered species surveys, and/or phase i environmental site assessments (esas). Candidates should be able to work independently with little or minimal supervision on routine, small projects and must be capable of leading field crews and coordinating agency field views. They should be able to manage multiple concurrent tasks.
this role requires travel to project sites and meetings across pennsylvania (including overnight stays), as well as conducting field work in all types of weather and terrain conditions.
the applicant must be able to lead a team and provide clear direction to other staff. Strong work ethic, verbal and written communication, and computer skills are also required for this position.
minimum training and experience required- bs in environmental science or related degree
- more than five years of experience in the field
- 40‑hour hazwoper training a plus
- experience with penndot, ptc, and pa dep procedures/regulations a plus
- experience with microsoft office and arcpro/esri gis products
- valid driver’s license
