Department Manager
Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking for a Department Manager to lead a Civil/Site team in our Lehigh Valley, PA office! This individual will perform duties in support of the direction and vision of the overall discipline. Oversee, direct and manage the work effort of assigned staff. Oversee the professional development of the assigned staff.

Responsibilities- Reviews and manages operations to ensure the quality of the technical products.
- Establishes effective long-range objectives, goals, and plans for assigned team.
- Provides technical and management leadership to the assigned team.
- Develops marketing program in conjunction with discipline goals.
- Advises and assists professionals in other groups when expert knowledge and expertise is required.
- Manages activities so an adequate profit is earned on all projects.
- Reviews monthly productivity and man-hour utilization-rates, reports and makes adjustments as needed.
- Assigns projects to staff and schedules work.
- Evaluate Employee Performance in accordance with company policy.
- Oversees assigned staff development and advancement.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- 12+ years of experience required.
- Knowledge of local city, county and state land use processes and regulations.
- Proficiency in technical skills in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrological analyses, grading and other site development related designs.
- Familiarity with the use and capability of Civil 3D.
- Ability to interact well with coworkers, clients, and regulatory agencies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities.
- Ability to work independently, as well as, in a team environment.
- Construction oversight experience a plus.
- Dedicated, responsive, and organized.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
