This role is a detail‑oriented and innovative Automation Engineer in our Cable Backplane Systems team. You will be an integral part of a cross‑functional team responsible for new product development in high‑speed, high‑bandwidth electrical connectors.
RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop concepts, write scope of work documents, and design, test, deploy tooling and validate automated systems. Work closely with external suppliers and manufacturers to support the development, fabrication and build of prototypes, pilot production and high‑volume factory automation. Also engage in machining and design activities as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS- MS (with 5+ years' experience) or BS (with 10+ years) in Mechanical or Robotic Engineering
- Experience with automation, PLCs, and electrical controls
- Proficient with solid modeling tools, Pro/E Creo preferred
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and project management skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with technical & non‑technical people
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
