Senior Manufacturing Automation Engineer (Vaccine Manufacturing)
Responsibilities

• Support GMPs, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Perform system upgrades, troubleshooting, trend identification, process monitoring, system administration, documentation updates, data queries, operator training, and participate in deviation investigations.
• Ensure automation documents, preventive maintenance, periodic reviews, and SOPs are inspection‑ready.
• Support process automation questions during audits/inspections.
• Evaluate automation/IT systems and develop strategies to optimize quality and stability through expansion, replacement, or upgrades.
• Ensure efficient operation of automated processing and information technology systems.
• Lead installation and qualification of new equipment.
• Develop solutions for automation problems.
• Investigate automation anomalies to prevent recurrence, including on‑the‑floor support.
• Lead development of technical requirements (needs, benefits, risks) and control strategies.
• Analyze business requirements and identify internal/external solutions.
• Communicate daily via the tier process with business, technical, and quality representatives.
• Provide rotational on‑call off‑site/evening phone or on‑site support.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles to translate business logic into detailed system requirements.
• Schedule:
  
  Required to start M–F every day on site for 6 months, then 3 days on site and 2 days off site.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, IT, or related field.
• 6+ years process automation experience.
• Experience with DCS (DeltaV), PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens), SCADA, OSI PI, Batch Reporting (Informetric Info Batch).

• Experience with Computer System Validation.

• Automation architecture/design, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, real‑time programming, software development, issue management, data management/query, process automation, quality management, PLC logic, automation systems, distributed control system (DCS), deltaV batch, intelligent automation, auditing, lean product development.
