Mechanical Manager

I'm currently partnering with a leading engineering consultancy that works exclusively within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and life sciences industries
.Their engineers deliver some of North America's most complex capital projects, supporting the design and construction of GMP manufacturing facilities, biologics plants, aseptic processing facilities, cell & gene therapy sites, laboratories, clean rooms and advanced therapy manufacturing facilities
.Due to continued growth, they're looking to appoint a Mechanical Group Lead / Mechanical Manager / Mechanical Discipline Lead to lead an established team of engineers while delivering technically challenging projects for some of the world's leading pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturers.

The Role:

This is a leadership opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer who enjoys combining people management, client engagement and project delivery
.

You’ll be responsible for leading and developing a team of engineers, overseeing multiple mechanical design projects and acting as a trusted technical partner to clients delivering major life sciences capital programmes.

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Mechanical Engineers and Designers.
• Manage the delivery of multiple pharmaceutical and biotechnology facility projects.
• Provide technical leadership across HVAC, mechanical building systems and clean utility design.
• Work closely with clients, architects and multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Support business development and help grow an already well-established mechanical group.
• Ensure projects are delivered to the highest technical and quality standards within regulated GMP environments.

• Professional Engineer (
  PE
  ) licence required
  .
• Previous experience successfully managing engineering teams.
• Strong background delivering mechanical/HVAC projects within the life sciences sector
  .
• Experience designing pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, biotech plants, laboratories, clean rooms or other GMP-regulated environments.
• Background within an A/E consultancy, MEP consultancy or EPC/EPCM organisation.
• Excellent communication and client facing skills.
