Ideal Candidate:
Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline) from an accredited engineering program. Must hold an active Professional Engineer (PE) License (or equivalent). Must have 10+ years of Structural Bridge Engineering experience with progressive technical leadership responsibilities. Must have extensive experience in bridge planning, structural design, project execution, project management, and bridge rehabilitation. Must have experience leading structural engineering teams while managing project schedules, budgets, staffing, and client relationships.
Must possess strong Business Development experience, including proposal development, client relationship management, and market growth. Must have experience working with State DOTs, County Agencies, Municipal Transportation Departments, or other Public Infrastructure Clients. Must have strong leadership experience including hiring, coaching, mentoring, performance management, and staff development. Experience managing department budgets, resource planning, and strategic growth initiatives is highly preferred.
Lead and manage the Structural Bridge Engineering section. Oversee planning, design, and delivery of bridge engineering projects. Provide technical leadership and engineering expertise. Manage department budgets and resource allocation. Lead proposal preparation and business development activities. Develop strategic growth plans with office leadership. Build and maintain relationships with DOT, county, municipal, and transportation clients. Manage project schedules, staffing, budgets, and quality.
Recruit, interview, hire, and mentor engineering staff. Conduct performance reviews and employee development planning. Support project managers with technical guidance and problem resolution. Collaborate with internal engineering disciplines and external stakeholders. Ensure project delivery meets quality, budget, and schedule objectives.
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Active Professional Engineer (PE) License. 10+ years of Structural Bridge Engineering experience.
Experience With:Bridge Design Bridge Rehabilitation Structural Analysis Transportation Infrastructure Project Management Technical Leadership Business Development experience. Proposal preparation experience. Experience managing engineering teams. Budget and resource management experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
