Role Overview
- Provide technical and regulatory guidance for environmental compliance (air programs and refrigerant management) and integrate environmental compliance programs into daily site activities. Drive EHS compliance and embed EHS excellence.
- Support monthly reporting and compliance reviews in the Air Emissions Data Management System (AEDMS).
- Maintain emission source equipment inventories and emission factors.
- Support Semiannual Title V Compliance Certifications.
- Manage EHS management system task definitions, compliance updates, permits/compliance registers, and action plans.
- Support regulatory agency inspections and corporate EHS audits (records prep and operational follow-up).
- Support routine non-complex air reports (e.g., RATA, stack testing, CEMS reports).
- Prepare site guidance/bulletin articles for operations under direction of Air SME.
- Ensure refrigerant equipment service records are completed accurately and on time (U.S. EPA and company requirements).
- Conduct field walkdowns to verify equipment and leak repair/prevention actions.
- Support internal/external refrigerant management compliance activities and maintain official records.
- Collate/calculate refrigerant data for quarterly environmental sustainability reporting.
- Develop/update standard work instructions, site procedures, and program manuals for refrigerant management.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
- 3+ years EHS/environmental consulting in chemical/biotech/pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Working knowledge of air emissions and refrigerant regulatory requirements (Title V permits/approvals/RFDs, AIM Act).
- Experience implementing EHS programs and change management; ability to partner across business units.
- Experience implementing management systems and ensuring compliance.
- 3+ years air emissions management compliance program experience.
- Experience with agency interactions, inspections, permit applications/renewals, emissions inventories, corrective actions.
- Ability to train and influence cross-functional teams.
