Extrusion Processing Engineer

B. Braun is seeking an Extrusion Processing Engineer for our Engineering & Design team in Healthcare & Medical manufacturing. In this role, you will design, optimize, and validate polymer extrusion processes for critical infusion and medical products. You will lead scale-up from concept to full production, ensuring compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, and cGMP standards. Working cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, and Operations, you will drive continuous improvement in product quality, safety, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize polymer extrusion processes for medical and infusion therapy products
• Define and maintain extrusion parameters to ensure product quality, safety, and consistency
• Lead validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) and ensure compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, and c
• GMP standards
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues using structured root cause analysis
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing on new product introductions and continuous improvement
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, work instructions, and process specifications
• Analyze production data and apply SPC/DOE to improve yield and reduce scrap
• Support scale-up from prototype to full production for extrusion-based components
• Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance patient safety and product reliability
• Contribute to a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous learning within Engineering & Design
