Manufacturing Operations Financial Analyst
The Financial Analyst supports the Controller and site operations teams with financial and accounting processes. This position is a key member of the finance/accounting team at the site, assisting in several finance areas such as month-end close, financial forecasting, reporting, standard costing, manufacturing variances, and analysis. The role involves managing and maintaining the cost accounting system and is responsible for all cost of goods sold and cost of goods produced reporting.
Additionally, the Financial Analyst provides insight and analysis of financial operating results and acts as a business partner to teams, leaders, and other members of the finance and operations teams.
Responsibilities
- Support the Controller and site operations teams with financial and accounting processes.
- Assist in month-end close, financial forecasting, reporting, standard costing, and manufacturing variances analysis.
- Manage and maintain the cost accounting system.
- Responsible for all cost of goods sold and cost of goods produced reporting.
- Provide insight and analysis of financial operating results.
- Act as a business partner to teams, leaders, and other members of the finance and operations teams.
Essential Skills
- Experience with inventory management.
- Proficient in forecasting and budgeting.
- Skilled in variance analysis.
- Ability to create pivot tables and Vlookups in Excel.
- Proficient in SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, SAGE, Net Suite, or Infor.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- 3+ years of variance analysis experience within a manufacturing company.
- 3+ years of forecasting/budgeting experience.
- 3+ years of inventory experience.
- Experience in cost accounting is a plus.
Work Environment
This position requires working onsite. The work environment is supportive, providing a long-term contract opportunity. You will be working for a manager who does not micromanage.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Allentown, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $43.00/hr.
