Financial Advisor / Consultant, Financial Analyst, Wealth Management
At Cypress Financial Planning, we are fee-only, comprehensive financial planners and investment managers passionate about helping our clients achieve their financial goals. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Paraplanner to join our rapidly growing team. In this role, you will support financial planners by preparing comprehensive financial plans, conducting research on various financial topics, and preparing materials for client review meetings.
This position offers an exciting opportunity for professionals passionate about personal finance to pursue a career in financial planning. We are seeking someone motivated to grow through a defined career path to ultimately become a senior financial planner within our firm. You will be provided the resources and mentorship necessary to complete your CFP certification within your first two years.
You'll then have the opportunity to advance to an Associate Financial Planner role working directly with firm clients provided to you through our existing organic growth channels.
- Assist financial planners in developing personalized financial plans tailored to client needs, including retirement, estate, tax, insurance and investment strategies
- Conduct detailed research on various financial planning and investment topics
- Prepare accurate and thorough client meeting materials
- Sit in on client meetings to take notes and gather data to help translate the discussion into actionable plan deliverables
- Ensure all client communications and meeting notes are entered and maintained accurately in firm CRM system
- Support the implementation of client recommendations by coordinating with financial planners, external partners (accountants, attorneys, etc.) and our investment custodian, Charles Schwab, to ensure the timely completion of post-meeting tasks
- Perform financial analysis using advanced software tools to evaluate client plans and investment portfolios
- Engage in client relationship management by communicating complex financial concepts clearly and professionally
- Proficiency in financial planning software and tools for investment management including Excel and eMoney
- Advanced knowledge of financial planning concepts
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately
- Excellent client communication skills to explain technical information clearly and concisely to build trusting relationships
- Self-starter capable of completing tasks and hitting deadlines both independently and in collaboration with senior team members
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Bachelor's Degree required
- CFP certification preferred
- Experience in financial services strongly preferred
- Defined career path to become Associate Financial Planner within 2-3 years
- Hands on experience with mentorship from Senior Financial Planners
- Young, growth oriented leadership team interested in expansion
