THE POSITION
The Department of Human Services (DHS), Office of Administration (OA), Bureau of Administrative Services (BAS), Division of Emergency Planning and Response (DEPR) is eager to welcome an Administrative Officer 3 to the team. This position is responsible for serving as the Immediate Human Services Needs Coordinator, responsible for the planning and implantation of programs and services to address the basic human needs for communities affected by complex environmental or humanitarian crisis.

This role focuses on supporting statewide human services operations during emergencies and complex events. It involves coordinating plans, assessments, and partnerships that strengthen behavioral health and human services readiness. As an Administrative Officer 3, you will perform the following duties:
- Emergency Planning:
Develop plans, policies, and guidance for statewide human services operations - Capability Assessment:
Coordinate assessments of state readiness and align priorities with federal human services goals - Behavioral Health Integration:
Support the integration of emergency behavioral health into statewide response plans - Service Coordination:
Work with mental health providers to ensure services remain available during emergencies - Stakeholder
Collaboration:
Collaborate with agencies and community partners to support a whole community disaster response

Work Schedule and Additional Information- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Telework:
You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to three days per week, reporting to the office two days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

- One year as an Administrative Officer 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management of staff work in public or private organization, including experience in personnel management budgeting or procurement; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four-year college or university; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
