Data Archive Analyst
Job Type: Full-time
Responsibilities- Collaborate with the team to execute SAP data archiving projects that improve system performance and ensure compliance with data retention policies.
- Lead ECC data archiving, decommissioning, and destruction activities, working with business and global compliance teams to enforce data retention policies.
- Understand business processes to identify and map required archive objects.
- Conduct database growth analysis and develop archiving strategies across SAP modules.
- Design, build, test, and implement archiving objects within SAP environments including ECC and S/4
HANA, adhering to RIM policies. - Create and test custom archiving objects to support auditing needs and data retrieval from archives.
- Schedule and monitor archiving jobs, maintain job logs, and prepare archiving statistics.
- Participate in SAP ILM initiatives.
- Configure and utilize Open Text Archive Server capabilities to manage SAP document attachments.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related discipline, or equivalent related experience.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in SAP with at least 3 years of ABAP development and 4+ years of hands-on SAP data archiving implementation experience.
- Participation in at least three complete SAP archival implementations as an SME for SAP archiving activities.
- Ability to configure retention and audit policies in compliance with legal requirements across different countries using SAP ILM.
- Proven experience configuring retention and audit policies.
- Knowledge of data destruction methods.
- ABAP experience for developing and enhancing archiving objects and creating custom utilities.
- Experience configuring Open Text document management activities.
- Knowledge of ABAP development and SAP Data Archiving activities.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret business requirements and prepare architectural specifications for applications.
- Ability to ensure architectural standards are met in application design.
- Problem-solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply solutions.
- Good interpersonal skills and teamwork.
