Information Technology Generalist 1 at the State Correctional Institution at Mahanoy
provides technical support for computer systems, network equipment, and user applications across the facility. Responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, configuring systems, troubleshooting network connectivity, managing equipment inventory, training staff, and implementing security measures. This full-time position works 37.5 hours per week at the Frackville, PA location.
Key qualifications- One year as an Information Technology Trainee or Technician (Commonwealth or equivalent Federal title), or
- Three years of information technology experience in applications development, networking, desktop services, web development, or IT support/administration, or
- One year of IT experience plus an associate's degree in an information technology field
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA required
- Must meet Pennsylvania residency requirements and pass background investigation with CJIS compliance
