The Jefferson Specialty Pharmacy (JSP) Fulfillment Associate will play a key role in the Fulfillment Center at a growing Specialty Pharmacy Operation. The candidate will ensure all patient shipments are packaged appropriately and accurately for delivery to patients, sorted properly for different distribution routes, and assist with inventory replenishment. Completion of day-to-day tasks will be under the guidance of Pharmacy Staff within the Fulfillment Center, including Pharmacists and Specialty Pharmacy Representatives.
Decision-making will also be guided by Accreditation Standards (URAC, TJC).

The candidate will ensure all patient shipments are packaged appropriately and accurately for delivery to patients, sorted properly for different distribution routes, and assist with inventory replenishment. - Participating in the fulfillment process by making sure orders are carefully and accurately packed, appropriate information and shipping labels are included in the packaging, and the correct packing procedures are followed depending on the type of medication and delivery method.
- Receiving shipments in the warehouse and transporting them to the appropriate area in the Specialty Pharmacy Fulfillment Center on a daily basis.
- Assisting inventory manager and other personnel with receiving inventory from the wholesaler and properly stocking it at the correct location.
- Assisting with the inventory review process including receiving, pulling expired drugs, cycle counts and other procedures.
- Interaction with field service technicians, warehouse and logistics staff when resolving issues with the delivery of an order, receiving incoming shipments and other circumstances.
- Transporting orders from one part of the Fulfillment Center to another.
- Collecting and sorting shipments after the fulfillment process is completed.
- Conduct cold chain testing to meet accreditation requirements.
- Ensuring fulfillment supplies are stocked at each filling station and appropriate back stock locations.
- Retrieving ice packs from a walk-in freezer in the facility's warehouse and stocking them at each packing station freezer.
- Assembling boxes and coolers for shipment.
- Maintain fulfillment supply status log.
- Keep the supply areas (Shelving and pallets organized, cleaned and stocked).
- Train others as needed
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- 1 year Experience working in a fast-paced and fluid environment with changing priorities. Must be efficient and quick with daily tasks.
- 2 years experience working in a Fulfillment or warehouse environment.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure each medication is packed according to handling and storage guidelines, the appropriate shipping method is used.
- Customer service oriented approach to work.
- Well versed in Microsoft Office and possesses a willingness to learn new technologies and software involved with the Fulfillment process.
- Team player with a "can do attitude" who is willing to assist pharmacists, Specialty Pharmacy Representatives (SPRs), an inventory manager, and other staff with a variety of challenging tasks in the Fulfillment area.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to lift and pull supplies from one area to another and be on feet for much of the day. Must be comfortable transporting and working with hazardous drugs.
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use,
* patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
