The Packaging Technician performs basic packaging, labeling, filling, and inspection of products in a controlled, GMP-regulated environment. You will work with clearly defined written instructions, maintain accurate documentation, and help ensure products meet quality and safety standards while supporting a clean and organized production area.
Responsibilities
- Package and label products accurately according to written instructions and batch paperwork.
- Perform basic filling, assembly, and packaging operations in a controlled, GMP-regulated environment.
- Follow current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and all safety requirements at all times.
- Complete simple documentation and in-process checks clearly and accurately to support traceability and compliance.
- Interpret 2D diagrams and batch records to ensure proper assembly and packaging of clinical supplies.
- Conduct basic quality inspections to verify correct labeling, packaging integrity, and product accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and support room changeovers as required.
- Work in primary, secondary, refrigerated (2 to 8°
C), and freezer (down to
-20°
C) environments as needed, including spending up to 80% of the day in a freezer when required. - Stand for extended periods, lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds, and frequently bend, squat, and reach above shoulder level during packaging activities.
- Work independently or as part of a team to complete assigned tasks and meet production goals.
- Take initiative in daily work, follow through on commitments, and adapt to changing priorities or instructions.
- Accept and learn from feedback, including feedback related to corrective or preventive actions, to continuously improve performance.
Essential Skills
- Experience working in a GMP or controlled production environment with packaging, labeling, or assembly tasks.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to perform repetitive tasks with both hands.
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Working mathematical skills, including counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages.
- Ability to interpret 2D diagrams and batch paperwork to ensure correct assembly and packaging of clinical supplies.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and execute English work documents, including SOPs, work instructions, knowledge assessments, cGMP guidance, and safety procedures.
- Ability to meet physical requirements such as continuous standing, frequent bending and squatting, reaching above shoulder level, and lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience with cleanroom environments or controlled manufacturing spaces.
- Familiarity with cGMP, SOPs, and basic quality inspection processes.
- Experience with labeling and packaging operations in a production or clinical supply setting.
- Ability to use personal protective equipment such as powered air-purifying respirators (PAPR) when required.
- Strong reliability, punctuality, and ability to follow structured processes and instructions.
- Willingness to work different shifts, including first, second, or third shift, as scheduled.
