Job Summary
Geisinger is offering Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) a $5,000 sign‑on bonus for eligible candidates joining our outpatient clinic teams. This full‑time, 40‑hour per week role provides primary clinical support in our ambulatory care environment.
Job Duties- Provides primary clinical support to the provider, patient and family during diagnosis and treatment.
- Obtains and documents patient medical history, chief complaint, vital signs, and medical data base for the provider.
- Assists with the performance of minor surgical and diagnostic procedures, laboratory specimen collection, and associated paperwork.
- Administers medications and vaccines per provider direction and scope of practice.
- Maintains a clean, aseptic environment; cleans and sets up examination and treatment rooms between cases.
- Processes and follows up on diagnostic testing to ensure completion, accuracy, and proper filing in the medical record.
- Prioritizes and documents patient communication, responds to patient questions and requests to support efficient provider workflow.

- Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing (Required).
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience (Preferred).
- Basic Life Support Certification.
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
- Strong communication, computer literacy, customer service, multitasking, and teamwork skills.
