Geisinger is proud to offer a full‑time Inpatient RN position with up to $26,000 hiring incentive for eligible candidates. The base hiring rate is $41.00, with increased rates for experienced individuals and up to $7 shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.
Job Duties- Assess plans, organize, perform, and evaluate nursing activities to meet patient needs.
- Promote adaptive responses of patient and family to achieve the highest level of patient care, promote safety, and maximize patient satisfaction.
- Exhibit compassionate care during patient‑nurse interactions.
- Coordinate patient care and interactions with staff.
- Meet the qualifications to provide care for patients in the assigned nursing unit.
- Ensure the best patient and family experience by optimizing all interactions.
- Complete assessments as established by scope of practice and unit standards.
- Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patient and family throughout the continuum of care.
- Formulate, coordinate, and provide plan of care as established in unit standards, including patient and family education, family needs, and discharge planning.
- Provide direct patient care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies, in accordance with policy and procedure.
- Evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and revise plan of care based on patient response.
- Initiate collaboration with physicians, ancillary personnel, and interdisciplinary team members and act to proactively resolve and facilitate patient needs.
- Problem‑solve, troubleshoot, and take corrective measures regarding equipment.
- Participate in unit‑based decision‑making regarding the utilization of evidence‑based practice.
- Act as a team member working toward team goals of the unit and organization.
- Be accountable for unit and system‑specific metrics.
- Participate in patient quality and safety education programs and other activities designed to improve departmental and organizational quality and safety.

Graduate from Specialty Training Program – Nursing (required). Bachelor’s Degree – Nursing (preferred). - Experience:
Certified and licensed as a Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) with Basic Life Support Certification. - Skills:

- Hours:
7:00pm – 7:30am, every other weekend and holiday. - Float differential: $3.50 per hour.
