Registered Nurse (RN) Opportunity
Full-Time
Shift 7am-7:30pm with every other weekend rotation.
The Meadows Psychiatric Center is a 119-bed inpatient behavioral health facility with numerous outpatient programs spanning the continuum of care. It is located on a 52-acre rural campus minutes outside State College, Central PA, providing comprehensive care to patients from children through geriatrics.
Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care for all patients on the Child, Adolescent, Stabilization, and Adult Units.
- Prescribe, coordinate, and delegate nursing care and oversee unit activities each shift.
- Complete nursing assessments and document care and progress each shift.
- Administer the Columbia Suicide Assessment on all new admissions and on patients whose suicide risk level changes.
- Facilitate medication administration activities in accordance with safe medication practices, including patient education.
- Respond to all crisis/emergency events to direct staff and ensure patient safety.
- Attend Treatment Team meetings to aid in development of patient care plans.
- Oversee Mental Health Technicians and Licensed Practical Nurses working on the unit.

- Valid Pennsylvania Registered Nursing License or temporary permit to practice.
- Genuine interest in psychiatric nursing.
- Previous psychiatric nursing experience preferred, though not required; on‑job training and education provided.
