American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele float pool position requiring a PA or Compact RN license and 2 years of specialty experience.

• Float pool position covering Med/Surg, MS/Tele, Telemetry, Orthopedics, Ortho trauma, Total joint replacement, and Plastics units
• Day shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Patient ratio ranges from 1:5 to 1:7
• Floating required across multiple units
• Every other weekend requirement
• Epic charting system required

• Active PA or Compact RN license required in hand
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• SICU experience preferred
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Proficiency in IV therapy, central line and PICC line management, blood product administration, and phlebotomy
• Skilled in respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, tracheostomy care, and ABG interpretation
• Experience managing cardiac dysrhythmias and telemetry monitoring
• Wound care and wound vac management experience
• Two valid professional references and copies of certifications required
• PA fingerprints and Childline clearance required within 12 months of start

• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a local rate differential
• RTO must be submitted at time of application and cannot be added afterward
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Pass/fail clinical exam required for clearance, with a maximum of three attempts
• Labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
• Orientation modules are completed during the first 8 hours of orientation
