Overview

Part‑Time Sales Associate – Intermittent Liquor Store Clerk (ILSC) position at the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB). Friendly, motivated individuals who deliver exceptional customer service in our fine wine & good spirits stores are sought. • Provide exceptional customer service, helping shoppers find what they need.
• Manage sales transactions with a computerized cash register.
• Unload shipments, stock shelves, and set up product displays.
• Receive, assemble, and pack wholesale customer orders, loading them into vehicles.
• Safely lift products—occasionally overhead or from a squatting position—from 30 to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 60 pounds, ensuring personal safety and product protection.
• Stand for extended periods of time.
• Keep the store clean and organized.
• Utilize scanners, box cutters, dollies, carts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks.
• Follow all legal guidelines to ensure alcohol is sold only to customers who are legally permitted to buy it.
• Work in a friendly, team‑oriented environment where each day brings new challenges and rewards.

• Permanent, part‑time employment.
• Preferred availability: 20–25 hours per week.
• Store work hours:
  • Monday, Tuesday: 11:00 am – 7:00 pm.
  • Wednesday through Saturday: 9:00 am – 9:00 pm.
  • Sunday: 11:00 am – 5:00 pm.
• Flexible shifts: 4–8 hours per shift.
• Availability on a rotating basis during the week and weekend with daytime and evening hours.
• Schedule details may change; applicants may be required to work schedules not outlined above.
• Minimum of 13 hours per week; up to 32 hours per week possible.
• No telework option.
• The position is at the store listed above; no transfer to other stores.
• Salary is fixed at the state minimum salary and is not negotiable.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must meet Pennsylvania residency requirement.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions.

• Must pass a background investigation. Applicants with a felony conviction within the last ten years are not permitted to work for the PLCB; other criminal convictions will be reviewed case by case.
