Our client in the apparel industry is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Assistant Product Line Manager to support its fashion merchandising and product management team during a maternity leave. This temporary assignment is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and can confidently manage multiple product initiatives, timelines, and deliverables from start to finish.

Reporting directly to the hiring manager, you will join a small, collaborative team and play a key role in keeping seasonal product development activities on track. The successful candidate will be personable, proactive, and comfortable coordinating with partners across Design, Product Development, and Sales.

What You'll Do
  • Support seasonal product line management activities across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Own and maintain product calendars, milestone trackers, line lists, and supporting documentation to ensure deliverables are completed on schedule.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Design, Product Development, and Sales teams to align priorities, communicate updates, and resolve follow-up items.
  • Build, maintain, and update Excel-based cost sheets and product trackers with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Maintain product costing data received from Product Development, helping ensure information is current and aligned with established cost targets.
  • Assist with product data entry, style setup, and data maintenance within PLM and related systems.
  • Monitor project progress, flag timing or data issues, and help keep work streams moving through key seasonal milestones.
  • Contribute as a reliable, collaborative team member in a role requiring frequent communication across functions.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience in fashion merchandising, product management, product development, or a related apparel/retail environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and project-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and multiple deadlines.
  • Advanced working proficiency in Excel, including experience maintaining cost tracking sheets, line lists, and product trackers.
  • Strong attention to detail and a consistent ability to maintain accurate product and costing information.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; candidates must be collaborative, personable, and effective with cross-functional partners.
  • Experience with PLM systems is preferred; familiarity with WFX is a plus, though training can be provided.
  • Experience with  or similar project-management tools is a plus.
