Business Development Manager – Restoration Services
Territory:
Greater Pittsburgh area (up to 2 hours of travel)
We are seeking a driven and relationship-focused Business Development Manager to support growth across the greater Pittsburgh market. This is a field-based, hunter-oriented role focused on developing new business relationships, generating restoration opportunities, and expanding market presence within the insurance restoration ecosystem.
This position is ideal for a sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, enjoys being in the field, and is motivated by performance-based compensation. The role offers strong earning potential, autonomy, and long-term growth with a well-established restoration organization.
Role Responsibilities- Develop new business through outbound prospecting, networking, and relationship building
- Build referral partnerships with:
- Insurance agents and adjusters
- Property managers
- Builders and contractors
- Homeowners and HOAs
- Conduct in-person visits, cold outreach, and door-to-door prospecting in target areas
- Attend industry events, local networking functions, and trade shows
- Work closely with mitigation and reconstruction teams to ensure seamless handoff
- Generate and manage opportunities from initial contact through job authorization
- Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and activity reporting in CRM systems
- Support customer communication as needed during the lifecycle of a project
- Comply with safety, driving, and jobsite requirements
- 3+ years of field sales or account management experience
- Strong hunting mentality with proven success generating new business
- Background in restoration, construction, facilities, or insurance-related sales strongly preferred
- Experience working with insurance-driven projects a plus
- Comfortable with outbound calling, in-person visits, and relationship-based selling
- Strong communication, negotiation, and follow-up skills
- Valid driver’s license and comfort traveling locally
- Experience with CRM platforms such as Hub Spot, Xactimate, PSA, or similar tools
- Consistent track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Commission Plan:
Tiered incentive structure tied to closed production - Draw Program:
Optional draw up to $10,000 annually (applied against commissions) - Commission Structure:
- Mitigation (Water / Fire / Mold):
- 3% on sales up to $400K
- 4% on $500K–$1M
- 5% on $1M+
- Repairs/Rebuilds: 1% on all sales
- Commission payouts begin once earnings exceed the draw threshold
- Annual plan review and refresh based on performance and company growth
