Up to $100k base salary + uncapped commission scheme.
Mackinnon Bruce International are partnered with a US-based manufacturer of specialty chemicals and pharmaceutical ingredients, with a notable industry presence and track record of global growth. We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team based out of Pennsylvania.
The Role
This is a commercially focused position responsible for driving new business growth, building lasting client relationships, and expanding the company's presence across the pharmaceutical and specialty chemicals market.
- Identify and engage prospective customers through calls, emails, meetings, and industry events.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with current and potential clients.
- Manage and track all customer interactions using CRM and reporting tools (Hub Spot, Excel, Google Drive).
- Collaborate with R&D to identify new products, markets, and growth opportunities.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to inform strategy and reporting.
- Set and monitor sales goals to ensure consistent business growth.
- Support and attend marketing initiatives including trade shows and promotions.
- Continuously refine sales processes to improve performance and results.
The Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Chemistry, or a related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management.
- A background in chemistry is a plus, but not required.
- Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
- Hunter mindset to new business development and sales acquisition.
- Self-motivated, resilient, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
