The Chemist 2 position in the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection focuses on analyzing environmental samples, operating laboratory instruments, and supporting method development for complex testing. You will ensure chemical data accuracy and compliance with strict laboratory and regulatory standards, working on projects involving per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and other environmental contaminants.
Key qualifications:- One year as a Chemist 1 or equivalent Federal Government job title
- One year of professional chemical analytical experience with a bachelor's degree including 30 credits in chemistry or biochemistry
- Graduate degree in chemistry
- Ability to perform essential job functions and maintain a REAL passport
- Pennsylvania residency requirement
