How This Role Works:

* Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"):
You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

* Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:
In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

* Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate for the location.

* Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to property management and/or Allied Universal leadership.

* Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, common areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance, lighting, and other property-related issues.

* Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, and support visitor and contractor screening practices in accordance with site policies.

* Assist with alarms, unusual activity, and after-hours issues by communicating with tenants, first responders, and/or management while following post orders and escalation procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

* Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.

* Be at least 21 years of age.

* A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
