** Allentown, PA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Security Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, support access control activities, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with site personnel and visitors, and respond to alarms and incidents.

** Age Requirement** :over 21 years of age.

** Driver's License** :  possesses a valid  driver's license, complying with the AU Driver Policy requirements.

** Access Control/Badge Experience** :  hands-on experience with access control systems and badge management.

** Alarm Panel Experience** :  familiar with alarm panel operations, ensuring safety and security protocols are followed.

+  
** Technology Proficiency** : comfortable using computers and tablets, which will facilitate efficient task management.

+  
** Customer Service Experience** :strong background in customer service, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

** Physical Capability** :capable of lifting more than 20 lbs, meeting the physical demands of the role.

** Loss Prevention** : experience in loss prevention strategies, contributing to the overall security of the workplace.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.

+ Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, unauthorized access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following site protocols.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities, access points, production-adjacent areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.

+ Monitor access control activity, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.

+ Communicate observations, hazards, and security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership in accordance with established procedures.

* + A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.

+

Experience with alarm panels is preferred.

+ CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

+ Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
