Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description

Pay: $46-$48/hr (based on experience) +
year-end bonus

• Plan and oversee daily maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and emergency repairs across all shifts.
• Repair, install, and dismantle machinery and equipment according to plans; work at heights, climb ladders, and use mobile equipment such as cranes, forklifts, and scissor lifts.
• Plan and lead maintenance teams and external vendors during plant shutdowns and equipment installations.
• Train multi‑craft maintenance technicians, ensuring that all employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.
• Lead breakdown response and troubleshooting efforts and prioritize critical repairs to minimize downtime.
• Connect to PLCs and VFDs using laptop software to identify faults, monitor inputs/outputs, and support production troubleshooting.
• Support welding, fabrication, and equipment modifications as needed.
• Identify and upgrade electrical components (VFDs, I/O cards, PLCs, etc.) to ensure proper inventory of spare parts is available.
• Read and understand wiring diagrams to trace electrical circuits, including I/O, OLs, contractors, relays, and break resistors.
• Manage and oversee outside contractors, vendors, and service providers performing work on site.
• Develop and improve preventive and predictive maintenance procedures in the work order system.

• 5+ years of heavy industrial maintenance experience
• 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
• Proven experience leading teams in both electrical and mechanical systems
• Experience troubleshooting and setting up VFD drives; SEW drives, Siemens, Lenze, and Allen Bradley
• Experience in concrete, foundries, aggregates, mining, or other heavy industrial manufacturing operations (preferred)
• Industrial electrical experience with PLCs and plant automation
• Ability to support multiple shifts
• Experience in heavy industrial mechanical repairs; rigging, welding, and fabrication (preferred)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CMMS, and ERP systems
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Physical Requirements: The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, climb, or balance.

The employee is occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee will frequently be working outside in the elements.
