DESCRIPTION OF WORKThis position supports the daily and long‑term maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment within the youth development center/youth forestry camp (YDC/YFC) system by performing skilled work in several trades. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform the following duties:
- General Maintenance:
Perform carpentry, plumbing, heating, cooling, electrical, masonry, and painting tasks as assigned - Equipment Repair:
Install and repair fixtures, appliances, tools, and equipment used throughout the facility - Structural Work:
Repair doors, windows, roofs, partitions, and other building components - Grounds Care:
Complete lawn care, snow removal, and upkeep of outdoor areas and fencing - Safety Compliance:
Maintain accountability of tools and materials and report missing items immediately - Staff Leadership:
Guide semi‑skilled workers by assisting with assignments and demonstrating proper work methods

Work Schedule and Additional Information:- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- This position is considered essential during weather and other emergency events

- Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) ; or
- Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
- You must be in possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
