Maintenance Repairman - PennDOT Winter Maintenance

This role focuses on supporting construction and finishing projects through skilled trades tasks and careful material planning. It also includes manual labor, equipment care, and maintaining a safe work environment. As a Maintenance Repairman 1, you will perform the following duties:

• Material Planning:
  Select tools, estimate materials, and prepare rough plans for assigned tasks
• Construction Tasks:
  Measure, cut, place, and finish materials for structures such as railings, stairs, and ramps
• Concrete Work:
  Order, mix, and pour concrete to complete various construction needs
• Tool Usage:
  Operate motorized and non-motorized hand tools and report missing or damaged equipment
• Safety Practices:
  Conduct visual inspections, make adjustments, and document findings to support a safe environment
• Incident Response:
  Report accidents promptly and seek medical attention when necessary

• Seasonal, full-time employment
• Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Hours are subject to change due to weather or seasonal conditions.

• Two years of experience in general maintenance work which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
