Putzmeister is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, commission, troubleshoot, and repair concrete pumps and material handling equipment at customer sites. In this Technical & Maintenance role, you'll diagnose hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and support start ups and operator training. You'll interpret technical drawings, document service activities, and collaborate with engineering and parts teams. This position requires frequent on-site work, strong commitment to safety, customer-focused communication, and readiness for travel and occasional off-hours support.
Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and test Putzmeister concrete pumps and material handling equipment at customer sites
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on heavy equipment
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and equipment inspections
- Support equipment start-up, operator training, and basic on-site coaching for customers
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and service manuals to resolve issues
- Document all service work, parts usage, and findings in service reports and systems
- Collaborate with engineering, technical support, and parts teams to resolve complex problems
- Ensure strict adherence to Putzmeister and customer safety standards and procedures
- Maintain service tools, test equipment, and company vehicle in safe working condition
- Provide timely, professional communication and support to customers while on site
Required Skills
- Hydraulic systems troubleshooting
